Dr Aldina and Neha Mahajan will present Living Well with Arthritis: Movement, Management, and
Motivation. This includes Arthritis: What exactly is it, Treatment Options, including the role of
Physiotherapy, and the GLA:D Program.

o Safe Medication Use. Tips on avoiding overmedication, managing multiple prescriptions, reducing side effects or drug interactions.
o Government Programs and Pharmacy Services. An overview of the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) plan, and free
services that pharmacists can provide, such as MedsCheck and immunizations.
o Managing Common Health Conditions. Practical guidance on medications for diabetes, heart health, bone
health, and pain management.
o Day-to-Day Tips. Reading prescription labels, keeping an updated medications list, safe travel with
medications.

. Claire Wooten of Dancing with Parkinson’s will talk about the benefits of movement and music for people with Parkinson’s (and seniors generally), and provide a 30 min seated dance class. No experience is necessary. Click here to see what to expect.
. Our returning guest speaker is Dr Shahana Alibhai, a Mental Health expert, a professional speaker, and a Family Physician at the Foundry Youth Health Centre in Abbotsford, BC.
o Dr Alibhai will speak about The Importance of Your Doctor’s Visit: How to Make the Most of Each Visit.
