Our returning guest speaker is Dr. Sharon Cohen, Neurologist and Medical Director at the Toronto Memory
Program.
Dr Cohen will explore the latest developments in Alzheimer’s research, offering hope for breakthroughs on
the horizon.
The Toronto Memory Program is a community based medical facility specializing in the diagnosis and
treatment of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

An Introduction to AI by the Canadian Abilities Foundation

Our guest speaker is Nathalie Lacoste-Hoffman from the Canadian Abilities Foundation (CAF).
Nathalie will provide an Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI),
including Uses of ChatGPT and other AI Tools.
CAF is a non-profit organization that provides programs that support individuals living with physical or mental disabilities, their families and caregivers.
We ask participants to pay their Calendar Year 2026 membership fee prior to registering if you have not done so already.

The Zoom Meeting link will be sent to registered attendees closer to the event date. Participants will need to connect via Zoom, using their own computer, tablet, or phone. The Zoom Meeting may be recorded and made available for review afterwards, along with a brief summary of how to access the available resources.

Our guest speaker is Imtiaz Datoo, RPh.
In past Zoom events, we have had guest speakers discussing caregiving provided through the Ministry of
Health (Ontario Health atHome), and in Long Term Care & Retirement Homes.
Our guest speaker will discuss a third alternative: hiring a live-in caregiver.
Sometimes such caregivers are hired from another country through a sponsorship arrangement.
Imtiaz will discuss the processes, costs, and how to minimize risks of hiring a 24×7 live-in caregiver.

Our guest speaker is Imran Nayani, a Citizen Services Specialist with Service Canada’s Community Outreach
and Liaison Services Team in the Toronto area.
Imran will present about senior-specific Federal Programs that are supported by Service Canada (as opposed
to tax programs supported by the CRA). This includes programs like the CPP, OAS, the Canada Disability
Benefit, the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Click here for a more complete list of supported Federal

about some of these programs that CRA guest presenters referred to Service Canada. This Zoom is a
